I hate having to haul out of this quarry. Staff is so un-helpful/un-friendly. Their rules are apparently dumb. They tell you at the window to follow 1 direction and then once inside the quarry, everyone does something different. My point is, stay away from this quarry if possible! They are not nice here... Takes forever to load here too!
Todays a BUSY day for dump trucks breaking the law on NO THROUGH TRUCKS in the neighborhood on Juarez Drive . Come one come all red, black, white gray, orange. we got them all UNLAWFULLY ON JUAREZ DR. HERMITAGE. Don't forget to speed. Get off our street, you're tearing up the road and disturbing the peace . Keeping the road hot today. Makes me sick !! I'm glad I don't have small children sleeping . The noise is awful especially JAKES . AGAIN your clearly out of line and breaking the law .Our street and tracks are being destroyed over money .
One star for the absolute wreckless and irresponsible driving habits of the trucks coming out of there . Both Central Pike and OHB side . Consistently pulling out in front of traffic flow . Vehicles moving at 40 and 45mph having dump trucks pull out with no room to do so at 5 mph as if there's no one on the road but them . Someday a Vulcan driver is going to make someone very rich .
For the consumers, 1) circle the building to hit the scales & determine your tare (unloaded) weight. After positioned on scale, do not move until light turns green. Stop at office when exiting scale to inform office type & amount of product. 2) Take a left off the scales & look for a yellow loading sign. 3) position your vehicle on the Gravel pile side of the sign. 4) wait for loading & DO NOT GET OUT OF VEHICLE. 5) after loading proceed to scales for loaded weight. Wait for green light to proceed to office window to pay for product. 6) allow for extra time to accelerate & stop while loaded.
We live really close to this location and itโs unbelievable the concrete we breathe in and itโs all over the cars and grass and porches, and they laugh if you try to figure out what can be done. Theyโre building those apartments right there next to Vulcan maybe those residential homes will block some of the rock floating in the air regularly I feel bad for them though.
