I've used Rowland Stone many times. This week's project was a large, paver patio.i needed to level the area, so I used Rowlands mortar sand. Prices are always a bit higher than the competition, but the service is better. It's worth it to me. The results are wonderful.

Needed rock same day as I was on a deadline and had had an awful week of setbacks. I thought it would be impossible. I'd called around and no one would even think of same day delivery. I went in to Rowland as they had a much bigger variety of stone, and I found the prices right in line with everyone else's. I chose the rock and told him how many tons, which was going to be 4+ trips across town for me using my truck, and he turned to a delivery driver and scheduled me right then. Didn't make a big deal of it. Didn't try to charge me more or make me feel guilty. Just straight forward kindness from a straight forward guy. Thank you, thank you!

Purchased 15 tons of chat with fines. Star nursery had a 4 1/2 MONTH wait on the same type of chat for some reason. Went in at noon and it was delivered by 4pm. Driver was friendly and helpful. He helped me find a spot to dump it all without cracking my driveway. Front desk was friendly. They are slightly more expensive but I had a great experience. Definitely will be back!

The gal at the front desk was very helpful and has a great people person personality. The delivery driver was awesome as well however there were issues and the acting supervisor did not handle it well to appease his customer and was okay with losing my business. I was supposed to have an AM delivery so I had guys on site but one of the trucks had broken down so it was late afternoon. The wrong rock was delivered and the right rock was $10 more per ton. Rather than bending over backwards too please his customer he said the best thing to do is give me my money back and send me packing. Now I'm in a bind because I still need the rock. After explaining the issues he begrudgingly said he would give me contractors price a whopping $2 per ton savings.
