Pioneer Landscape Centers

We purchased 3 1/2 ton Horizon river rock on Sat 8/10 and delivery was 8/12. Staff in office was super helpful and professional as was the delivery driver. However, I was so disappointed in my rock once we dug in to place in our yard. It was full of mud. I expected “some” dirt as I asked this question before purchasing, but not the amount we got. I must have paid for at least a 1/2 to 1 ton of dirt and you could’nt even see the color of the rock. There really was no point in me laying weed fabric down and even the monsoon rains we had last few days didn’t clean the rock.

I went on 5/14/2025 in the late afternoon. I want to give a shoutout to the loader. He was so helpful and friendly. I appreciated his kindness in helping me figure out what I needed.

Curtious, professional, and quick. Had a low tire once. Was pointed out by the loader who directed me to their shop area to top off before loading.

I bought the latest and greatest turf from Pioneer. The piece was 15’x21’. I picked up the piece after they loaded it on my truck. I got home, manhandled it off of my truck by myself, wrapped a blanket around the edge so I could drag it down my rocks 5 feet at a time, so I could rest. It was heavy. Then turned it 90° to get it on the surface where I rolled it out to find out that it was 6 feet short. I was not happy. It was a Saturday, so I had to call Monday to talk to Chad. Chad said he would work on it, and called me back a couple of hours later, saying that he would have 2 people and a truck come pick up my incorrect piece, and deliver the correct piece. Chad and his helper came on Wednesday and we carried up the incorrect piece, and they used their little tractor to take the correct piece and get it as close as we could to the site. From there we just rolled it down the hill and put it in place. Of course I was not happy on Saturday when the problem occurred, but I have to give them all the credit for doing this right. Other companies might have told me that I had to return the piece, which there is no way I could have done without hiring people to help me. Thank you Chad for making this right and the turf looks awesome! Rod Price
