Mechanicsburg Sand & Gravel

So first order of gravel is near 3 hours late and we had to call to see what was going on. We order more gravel and were told its not in at the time but will be later which is perfectly fine and understandable and that they will deliver it at this date due to to its availability. All fine and dandy. Instead i get a gravel truck trying to offload the gravel first thing in the morning unannounced a WEEK earlier then agreed. What even is this business model. The drivers are good at least in the dumping and spreading and friendly demeanor. This receptionist needs to work on some communication almost like its there job to do.

Go in and order 4 ton of #8 P they loaded 6 and overcharged that price I was told 17.73 a ton and was charged almost 130.00 they run a little scam with this!! Understandable being a half to a ton over but 2 ton was on purpose. They lost my business. I said something at the counter they offered no way to resolve it. Hopefully the 50 bucks was worth it because I won’t return. The gravel was much smaller than a # 8 also. Drive to Urbana it’s worth it.

They tried to charge me 55 dollars for 2 ton of #8 pea gravel when its only $13.75 an ton.said the charge to load it in trucks never heard that before I won't go back.I'll stay with enon sand and gravel

The front office lady is very knowledgeable and helpful. Their front loaders don't have a scale on them so if you're getting a small load the workers have a habit of overloading. Most will help unload the overage. Call for Saturday hours. They arent open on Saturdays after labor day. Not sure about summer months.

The most economical gravel around. The truck drivers are all very courteous, and willing to work with you. Jimmy has perfected the Slinger and is the best around, including the price of the gravel.
