This is the second time in 2025 that my windshield has been destroyed by an oncoming Letart Sand and Gravel truck—both times while I was driving in my own lane with no way to avoid it. This isn’t just bad luck; it’s a pattern of negligence and recklessness. And that’s not even counting the countless near misses, dangerous driving, and blatant littering I’ve witnessed from their trucks. It’s clear these drivers have no regard for public safety. I can only hope someone in authority takes this seriously—though frankly, based on what I’ve seen, I’m not holding my breath.

On May 23, 2024, around 2:50 PM ET, one of Letart Corporation's drivers was driving recklessly in the left lane, going about 10 to 12 MPH over the speed limit, swerving into the right lane (which he should have been driving in in the first place, for safety reasons), and losing gravel all over the place, resulting in a hefty smack on our windshield about 350 feet behind the vehicle. The license plate appears to read one of the following: PMT2444 PNT2444 PKT2444 PXT2444 Unfortunately, I was unable to get a clearer read on it. I have, however, attached a related image. That being said, perhaps it would be best to list a driver/vehicle number associated with this semi as to make identification easier. Regardless, I do sincerely hope the higher-ups are willing to have a conversation with this individual and reconsider their relationship. This is dangerous behavior that needs to be penalized if we hope to remain a functional society. Last but not least, I'd like to add that one cannot legally waive liability with something as simple as a sticker, sign, or other marking on a commercial truck. While it is absolutely legal to put it up, it is baseless and without meaning. And if something were to happen, liability is absolutely a possibility, especially at excessive speeds, while driving recklessly, illegally in the wrong lane. The truck not being covered is another concern - one which could have been addressed rather easily. Please do better in the future. Thank you.
