Unfortunately I've had several difficult experiences with C&C. I've continued to use them over the years because they are at a convenient location but they recently caused me a problem and have continued to lie about it so I'm going to write this review. I purchased several hundred dollars worth of paver stones (Stone Universe pavers) online at SiteOne.com. C&C is the local branch and they called me later that day and lied and said that they did not have any more of those pavers in stock. They said they had different pavers in stock and that I could buy them but at a much higher cost. I challenged that lie and informed them that I had recently been in and purchased some pavers in-person so I knew that they were not "out" of that kind of paver. At that point they backtracked and said, "Oh, well it all comes from the same quarry and it's the same product but it's coded differently now, so that's what makes it a different." I responded that it was not right to contact someone after they've paid for a product and lie to them about being "out of the product" when, in fact, they have merely relabeled the same product and "coded it differently". It's too bad that they forgot to update the new big mark-up on their website, but I still expected to receive my stone. They refused to deliver what I had paid for unless I acquiesced to their bullying tactic and paid the higher price for the same "newly coded" stone. I refused to pay extra and they said that they wouldn't need to refund anything because they hadn't really charged my account. I challenged them on that lie because I can still see the charge to my account live through my bank and they responded (without apology) that it should be removed from my account within "probably 3-5 days". This debacle began 5 days ago and the charge is still there on my account and they have continued to refuse to deliver my stone. I called the SiteOne national customer service who informed me that they contacted the local branch (C&C Sand and Stone) and that C&C had reported that they had already called me and achieved a "resolution". I'm really upset about the lying and the continued insistence that "it's a different product" because they want to charge more for it even though THAT IS A LIE BECAUSE IT IS THE SAME PRODUCT!!! If you advertise something in Colorado and you complete the sale you are not legally allowed to demand further additional payment for the same product. I'm going to give it one more day to see if the charge is removed from my account and then if not I will begin proceedings to recover my money. I don't want to harm anyone's business so I will remove this post if they deliver the stone or I will adjust it accordingly if they at least give me my money back, but until one of those things happens this is my only recourse to obtain a resolution. FOLLOW UP: After a couple more days the charge was removed from my credit card. They never apologized nor took any responsibility, but they did eventually give me my money back.
Shady company. One of their drivers ruined our driveway so bad we had to fix the part he damaged and then repave the whole thing to make it even. They were told not to drive in the driveway. Well he did and lied about it. Have picture from driveway camera to prove it. He also lied to the landscaper and said he did not drive in the driveway. They then proceed to send some guy out for an estimate to repair the damage. He didn’t even add all of the damage in the estimate. He is new to asphalt repair and gave a low quote. We actually had other quotes and they said he couldn’t even get the materials for that cheap. Then their lawyer proceeds to make us jump through hoops and then because their asphalt guy didn’t measure correctly they want to settle for less than half of what the repairs cost. We didn’t even ask for them to reimburse us for repaving it, just the damage they caused . DO NOT trust these people. They lie and don’t care what damage their trucks do to your property!!! One other thing, this is the second time they’ve damaged our driveway. First time was six years ago.
We ordered 6 tons of 2-4" river rock. It had about a ton of rocks smaller than all inch, clay, and sand. Not cool, now I have to get rid of a ton of junk that I didn't want.
Nice folks. Military veteran discount. Good selection of materials. I put in a retaining wall and a set of landscape steps along my steep driveway. Used Lowe's for the block to match the existing block we had but got the fill dirt, granite stone and flag stone from c&c. Guys in the yard and the staff in the building were all very helpful.
We ordered 15 ton of 3/4” river rock from C& C. It was deliver the very next day by Bill in a large dump truck. Bill dumped the stone exactly where I asked him to unload it, inside our fence on a large cement slab. Bill could of just dumped it on the street but he went the extra mile for great customer service. I will order again from C&C their prices and service are first rate.
