Edited review 5/9/2025 fm 2 Stars on topsoil received to 5 Stars for customer service. Owners called today about my review and treatment on the phone. He apologized for the product we received. He came out to look at the pile and agreed it must have been a pile that hadn't been worked on. He refunded us and apologized again. We order topsoil yearly and will definitely give them another try next spring. Very disappointed in our topsoil order. Make sure you inspect it before ordering a delivery. For being labeled pulverized and screened, the 3-yard load we got was 1/4 clay balls and gravel. The dark, rich soil we got in the past is definitely not the standard anymore. I called to tell them the load was poor quality and they said that the screens are letting that junk through.

Really disappointed; I drove 40 miles to come look at materials for our yard because I had called the day before and they were the kindest of everyone. I barely got around the first row and I was told to leave the yard…

I ordered, and paid over $600 for, 20 yards of mulch. The pile that was delivered was 10-12 yards at best. I questioned the driver and I called the office, but they were unwilling to listen or do anything about it. All I want is what was paid for. I was shorted about $250- $300 worth of mulch. Not good business!

Last week I bought topsoil at Hintz and was perfect, a good quality but this week I bought again from the and the topsoil was lie pebbles like rocks. I went and complain at the office and they called the Manager or the owner and the excuse he gave me was; we have been in business for many years. I will not go there again

The old lady after picking up the phone and immediately hanging up (probably because it was her lunch break), answers the phone the second time and sarcastically says H-E-L-L-O!! She doesn’t state the business name or who she is, so I asked if this was the right number to a landscaping business when she answers “Well you called me!!” I then asked is this Ray Hintz landscaping and she stated Uh Yeah??? I then was so turned off by her lazy, unprofessional, sarcastic attitude I refused to do business with them. Hope others have had better luck not calling during lunch. 😕
