McCarty Mulch & Stone

Great company, website was easy to order and pay. Prices were competitive. Delivery driver was very considerate, knowledgeable and accurate with placement of mulch in the location that we chose. I will be using them again. My yard looks fabulous!

We got 5 yards of soil/ compost mix delivered and the whole experience was great! The ordering process was quick and easy, the delivery was on time, the driver even called to let us know he was on the way and verified the location for the drop off. He was also very kind with my children who wanted to watch the whole process. The quality of the soil mixture is fantastic and we are looking forward to gardening this summer. A few days after the delivery we received a personalized thank you card in the mail, what a surprise ! We will absolutely use McCarthy again and will recommend them to family and friends.

So, I’ve needed to get some stone for a project for a while now and I started to hit old Google. Obviously McCarty’s reviews stood out so I thought I would them a look. I have driven past the location a few times … actually hundreds of times on my travels down to Bloomington and beyond. Great location and now with 69 finally coming together really easy to access. Seriously from start to finish, I could not have asked for a better experience. I was going to order online however my work travels took me past their location so I thought I would drop by. I have a tendency to overthink everything so this project while basic has been nothing short of that. Basically moving a glorified bathtub off of a concrete slab and placing it onto some type of stone bed. Finally, after getting timbers driven in with an excessive amount of rebar, I was ready for the goods. At McCarty… I was met by the team of ladies at the counter and Carissa was the one that took my barrage of questions that she answered confidently and eased my concerns that I had picking the right materials. She also provided some great suggestions and set up delivery. The decision was to go with a split load of #8 stone and pea gravel. She took the details down for delivery as far as how I wanted it placed and assured me their drivers were super professional. Very fair cost based on others I had called so I paid up, got my receipt and anxiously awaited delivery. The day of delivery I got a call as I had requested from Brad. Brad was on site and we hashed out the details. He managed my expectations well that he wasn’t sure if it was going to be exactly as I wished…. however said he would do the best he could and believed I would be satisfied. Talk about under promising and over delivering… Brad absolutely nailed it. I couldn’t have envisioned anything better. So after a long weekend, the stone and gravel are in place and with the perfect amount left over to handle some other landscaping areas that we wanted to take care of as Carissa and I had discussed. Carissa and Brad, thanks so much for a fantastic experience. So worth 5 stars. Super fair priced and would be worth paying more! (don’t get any ideas just in case I want to get some more). 😁 Thanks McCarty Crew!

Easy ordering process. And the driver got the gravel square on target even though the tarp I laid down was a bit undersized for the load I ordered.

I have purchased my landscaping mulch over the last 15-20 years form McCarty and have never been disappointed. The last few years they have delivered 24 yards annually and placed it in the drive perfectly where marked and exactly when they said. Quality of mulch is excellent! Would not go anywhere else!
