Warning! Ask for premium topsoil if you choose to patronize this business. I paid for a delivery of topsoil and received red fill dirt (in my opinion). You can see from the pictures that the dirt is red and crusty. I hired someone to spread it for me as topsoil for my grass seeds. Unfortunately, when the sprinklers wet the dirt, it became hard like clay dirt. As a result, I had to buy real top soil from another company to replace this fill dirt which meant I had pay more money. When the gentleman delivered the fill dirt, I immediately asked him if he was sure it was topsoil because I never saw red topsoil. He said it was, but I knew it wasn’t because of the dust it created when he dumped it. I called and talked to Lee. the owner, and although he was very nice on the phone and looked at the pictures I sent, he still insisted that this is topsoil. He said I needed to request premium topsoil. Well, it was my first time using his company, so I thought asking for topsoil meant I would get topsoil. The salesman should have explained the differences. I don’t want my money back because clearly they must need it. I just wanted to warn you to ask for premium topsoil if you need topsoil for seeding purposes. Better yet, go to the location and look at the soil in person. I wish I had.
Good selection, good prices, and fast delivery. I got compost and some topsoil for my plants and to create a raised bed garden.

I would not recommend doing business with this company. I purchased 6 yards of mulch. I spread out the first couple yards that week and it was fine. I put down a couple more yards the following week. And after it rained that weekend the stain started washing out very noticeably. I stopped back by CIF to see what happened and to show them pics of what I was talking about. And was told the manufacturer didn’t let the stain dry before it was piled up and sold to CIF. And was told the manager only works 4 hrs a day 20 hrs a week and wont’t answer the phone in the mornings. But he would be calling me later in the day. Well that didn’t happen and the employee called and said the manager said he would credit me for 1 yard. I asked if I could send the manager pics so he could see for himself. The employee give me his personal number to send the pics to. And the manager was so unprofessional that he wouldn’t even call me back and continued to have the employee use his personal cell phone to communicate with me. And responded back with a credit of 2 total yards. I responded back if agreed if they would give me 3 total yard so I could cover up everything on the top to hide the already faded mulch I would let it go. He never responded back so I went by CIF to get whatever I could. When I asked the employee what the manger said about the 3 yards he said no the manager couldn’t do that because then “everybody would be losing”. Which means they wanted to keep things to where I was the only one to be losing. I have always supported this small businesses buying mulch and firewoodandalways pay cash to avoid credit card fees. But will not be any longer. Because now I have at least 4 yards of defective mulch that I have payed for. Not to mention all the work that was in vein. Can’t figure out how to post the pics yet but will be coming soon.
We dealt only with Roger. He provides awesome customer service, excellent communication and pretty much took care of the whole process himself. **Updated Edit: We bought 15 yards of large pine chips. We have used the same people to spread the chips and have used it in the same area every time. We purchased from another company in the past. We went with CIF because they were less expensive and the chips looked great. Our landscaper told us that we only had 12 yards delivered. There wasn't enough to cover the area we've always covered. We called CIF and they said that they weren't going to do anything about it. We wondered if the truck they rented (their 2 broke down) held less than they expected and didn't want to make more than 2 trips to our home. Again, Roger was AWESOME but I am not sure that the company is as great as Roger is.....
