Ignorance is not bliss, but costly! I purchased 14 tons of top soil to prep my yard for the spring growth of lush grass. I called all over and was told this company was the way too go for such a large order and the plans. And while they readily took my order, was on time and professional, the soil they delivered was not really soil but sand missed W/ soil! I thought I asked all the right questions to prevent any mishaps, and speciafilly said, I wanted top soil, but I didn't think that I needed to stipulate no sand mixed in with the top soil. So, when it arrived the so called topsoil was dark and lush, so I was so excited! Then the rain came and left less soil and more and thousands of ant mounds! So, I laid sand & soil over a yard that I thought was subpar only to make it worse W/ the 14 tons of sand & soil I purchased! To make matters worse was my husband took a few yards for his garden that has resulted in stunting the growth of the vegetation, I mean you ever seen tomatoes growing on a beach? Last, but certainly not least, I thought I would have nice Kentucky blue and Tall fescue grass and what I have is beach vegetative grass and plants together with all sorts of weeds! I can go on and on but I won't! I did contact the company a few weeks later and let them know and I could sense that they were about to get defensive, just in case I asked for my money back, so I modified my complaint to just letting them know to please inform other buyers that though their soil is "screened" it consists of soil and sand that may not be appropriate for growing vegetation, grass or anthing worth having except to put something on and appealing to ants or feeling a hole in the ground. Sad really
