Yost Sand and Gravel

Ordered from this place despite all the bad reviews because it seemed cheaper. Ended up paying the same as other places for very poor soil, I ordered the half topsoil and half compost mix for a flower and herb garden. The soil is very sandy and doesn't appear to have much organic matter. There is a ton of plastic and glass I'm constantly picking out, I wouldn't be surprised if it was road construction soil. The driver was pleasant enough though, my complaint is the quality of soil.

Been going here off & on for 15 years or so. I usually pick up top soil or whatever with my own pickup truck. Employees have always been polite & are very careful loading my pickup bed. You may have to wait a minute or so for someone to come to the office, as they may be working out in the yard, but it's no biggie. It's an old school business & the prices are very reasonable.

Richard and his crew are fast, efficient, and professional. As a contractor, I appreciate these qualities. I discovered them through an ad for free fill which I used for a road building project. After working with them, I will be moving all of my other sand and gravel business to them, after having trouble with my previous supplier. It's a bit farther of a drive, but totally worth it. I highly recommend them!

I would go to advise you to get something from a more reputable place. bought 15 yards of mulch from them. I could tell when I got home the mulch in the driveway it wasn't 15 yards... and when the gardener came to mulch the yard, he confirm my suspicions... and on top of that he told us when we were in the office that it was going to take three loads and he charged us accordingly. Well when we came home we could tell it was only two loads so we called him and he said oh I thought you were talking about stones ...ridiculous!! not reputable ! I will never go back to them. !

Called to order 3 yds of topsoil. Talked to Rick and set a delivery time for the next morning at 9 AM. Rick called me at 8:15 to say he would be there by 9. He was courteous, on time, and dumped it where I asked him to. The topsoil was screened and high quality. I read the reviews before I purchased, but I can say that my experience was very pleasant.
