Scotty's Contracting & Stone - Bowling Green South Asphalt Plant

On May 31, 2024, while traveling from Ohio to Tennessee, our 2002 Mustang Convertible experienced a mechanical issue, forcing us to pull over on the highway. A man employed by Scotty’s Construction Company approached us and kindly offered assistance. He helped us push our car further off the shoulder and gave us a ride to McDonald’s at a nearby travel center (where we waited nearly 3 hours for our son to pick us up.) We informed him that we had reserved a U-Haul and car transporter to retrieve our vehicle the next day. He assured us that he would inform the night shift to ensure our car would not be towed. However, on the morning of June 1, 2024, my son and I drove nearly three hours to retrieve our car, only to find it had been towed at 7 a.m. Afterwards, we learned from a female Scotty’s Construction employee that the county had our car towed by Doug's Towing Company. She mentioned that the employee who assisted us was misinformed about the towing policy and should have known better. As a teacher and my wife being a nurse, we understand the importance of accountability for one's actions. It is apparent that your employee was not adequately trained on the towing policy, leading to misinformation and considerable inconvenience for us. We hope Scotty’s Construction Company values honesty and integrity and takes responsibility for the actions of its employees. At this time, we are warning others about the potential risks of hiring your company. If they are going to lie to us, would it be wise to trust this construction company to perform work to ensure the safety of others traveling on the highway or any other projects?
