I called to see if I could get a small amount of limestone for an art project. Other places I called could not be bothered but Wood Material accommodated me. They were friendly and in the process saved me HUGE amount of money. The operation is really clean--i.e. they have a wash pond the trucks have to drive through to get dirt off the tires before they get back on River Road. Top notch. I'll be back the next time I need dirt, rocks, fill.

I have been going here for over 3 years and the service gets better every time. Friendly and helpful staff from the front office to the guys on the tractors loading the materials. You won't find a better place for aggregate.

Their director of Soil and Composting, Johnathan, was tremendously helpful and informative. When he learned we were in need of soil for a bioswale application, he selected a specially-crafted soil blend to provide an ideal combination of great drainage properties and chemistry that facilitates pollutant sequestration and promotes diverse soil microbiology. Jonathan also took the time to let us know how we could schedule/book delivery in the most cost-effective way through local haulers based on the quantities of materials we were ordering. Stacy and the Wood Materials team were also great about getting 40 yards of soil delivered in a very specific time window on a Saturday. The depth of product knowledge, attention to detail, personalized and accommodating service, along with high quality product, make this supplier a gem of the New Orleans area.
