Patuxent Nursery

18June2024 Wonderful employees and environment. My first stop here and I found what I was searching for and one more thing. Large, well organized property with a great deal of selection of plants, trees, bushes, stones, rocks, pottery, and more.

It is such a beautiful place with beautiful people that are helpful and accommodating. Heavenly almost. This is my first time at a nursery in my adult years with a personal project in mind. I'm so glad I chose this place as my first stop. Can't wait to go back!

Have had the best time experience at this nursery! The staff are so friendly and willing to help. A few folks I want to shout out by name for helping this weekend are Brady and Kyle in the trees/shrubs department. There is also the most wonderful woman working the customer service desk - I believe her name is MaryAnn - for going ABOVE and beyond this weekend to help me with a special order. Our yard is really starting to take shape!

Tried to find a plant that I was told they would be getting in two months ago. Asked two employees inside for help, one seemed to not know what I was asking for and asked the other who was clearly reluctant to assist. I went outside and asked another employee who also didn’t know where to find what I was looking for and condescendingly told me to have a nice day. There is clearly no order here. I understand during a busy season, that employees have to cover locations that they may lack knowledge, however I shouldn’t have to walk around in circles with an employee trying to find plants that aren’t clearly outlined. Between the lack of structure and the rude employees, I will not be returning to this store.

Huge amount of stock and options for plantings and landscaping. Garden soil and mulch in bags or loose, as well. You can find trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, houseplants, herbs, seeds, pottery, garden decor, and more. It's fun just to visit and dream and get ideas. Very friendly and attentive staff.
