We went to look at fireplace stone here. I wanted to support a local company at just about any cost. Unfortunately I wanted a stacked stone or stackable stone that was finished on the ends. They told me nobody makes end pieces, only corners and that I would have to put sealer on the end cuts to make it look finished or use wood trim. I wasn’t about to spend a premium to be unhappy with finished product. I ended up mitering the ends and doing returns like how trim is done the way I was specifically told by multiple sales people at Great Lakes Stone that it couldn’t be done that way. End result picture using Home Depot stone for 1/3 the price. No thanks to Great Lake Stone. Update: Pro tip Great Lakes Stone, you don't have to be rude in your response and write me off with belittling comments.
