Not very professional at all, first of all, I made an order a week ahead of time and got charged immediately for it I should’ve known then I was under the impression that he was delivering material on the a axle dump truck. They come in on dump trailers with bald tires have to hook up, jumper cables to get the bed to lift up scraped concrete driveway all up not professional at all. Would not recommend these guys.

I also bought 36 yards of “holy cow “ top soil. Be prepared for 30-40% of rocks and clay. I spent a full day trying to rake out the rocks. Filled up 5 wheel barrels of rocks, plastic, string, bottle caps, and other garbage. I paid $840 per 18 yards for their good soil According to their website and soil descriptions though, I was ripped off and they delivered regular top soil. I would not recommend this to anyone.

These guys were great to work with! We first went to them for their "Holy Cow" dirt mix to spread in our back yard that we were re seeding. ON MY WORD! We've got grass growing in a yard that has NEVER grown grass very well!! (and we've lived here for 20 years!) That soil mix is awesome! Then I needed a LOT of dirt to plant 15 trees and 15 shrubbs in my yard. At first I thought I'd get 25 bags. BUT once I did the math, I discovered that buying 3 yards of dirt and paying for the delivery would be the same cost. SO I set up a spot on my drive way with a tarp and they delivered while I was gone! EASY! Yes, their dirt is more expensive. BUT it is totally worth it because it is a superior product that really gets your yard and plants growing! Update: We moved since I’ve written this review. Had some construction work done on our new place and our yard/grass was all torn up afterwards. Lots and lots of clay! Sooo, we called southern nursery again, had them deliver 4 yards of holy cow dirt and spread it over the yard, planted seed, watered and we’ve have lovely grass! Even after a blistering hot summer! These guys have been great to work with and they once again delivered a superior product that did the job we needed! Other reviews complain about gravel in their dirt, we’ve gotten large deliveries of dirt from them 4 different times and that has never happened to us.

I will never call these guys again. I called them to get topsoil, it was too wet. I waited two days, called back, set an appointment, (scheduled today from 1 to 3) Called at three and they told me they couldn't make it out till Tuesday. They had an issue with their machine. No phone call, nothing. I had a crew on standby waiting on that dirt. As far as the machine being down, Sunbelt rents them at a low cost. easy fix to not have to shaft customers.

Great experience at Southern nurseries on Dickerson Pike today! There's a lot of demand during summer mulching season, so there was quite a lot of people there pick up Mulch. The crew at Southern nurseries had everyone loaded and on their way quickly. They've been in business for 30 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else for my Mulch & Soil product needs. A +!
