They damaged my property and will not pay for their mistake. Not that it's costly but the principal behind it. We had asked them not to come since we weren't going to be home.

On March 19th 2020 the day we got the word that millions of people would be out of work because of the stay home order, not much traffic on the road when I was traveling East on Grantline road in my truck, when coming the opposite way, a dump truck passed me and dropped a big rock or rocks onto my truck putting multiple holes in my window. I made a U turn caught up to the dump truck, took a picture of the plate and followed into the Handford sand and gravel yard. I talked to the manager of this business of which he apologized and took my info and said it would be taken care of and he would turn it over for their insurance to handle. After many weeks of waiting the insurance company contacted me and took my report and Federated Insurance ( Handfords insurance) said they would cover my window after taking my recorded report and seeing pictures. They asked for estimates of which I sent. A week later no response. Finally after me calling and emailing multiple times a day. I spoke to a manager of Federated insurance. This man was very rude and said, we are taking back our word and denying your claim. The driver wasn’t carrying any rock, his truck was empty. I decided to call Handford myself and speak to a manager or owner. I was told not to worry, by one of the owners and she would talk to her son, the owner of this 4 generation business. I called them back 4 days later after no response from them and was told they would not cover my window because they were only carrying peat gravel. I would like to know after being told 3 stories, was the truck carrying rock, empty, or carrying peat rock. This company lied to me, deceived me, and this is just plain poor business on their part. Apparently saving 378 dollars for a window is good business, then satisfying a customer, that is clearly in the right with evidence supporting their claim. Clearly this business has been around a long time because 1,2, and 3rd generations knew how to run a business correctly and not lie to their customers. FYI customers, and having a good relationship with them are what build a good business. Poor business and dissatisfied customers is what ruin a business. Myself, a business owner of a successful construction company and doing customer service for over 30 years, have had to eat more then 378 dollars to satisfy a customer. With this being said, I will never use this company, nor would I recommend this company to any of my business associates.

Decided we needed gravel on a Saturday morning. Called and they had exactly what we needed at a great price. We were in and out quickly.

Reasonable price. But I'm here all day today June 23 after speaking with a rep week ago that said he set the delivery day for today and total $. For them to be a no show. So far not good communication and not reliable. Hope someone calls me back to fix the issue. Will up date. Okay update. They have me back my delivery. Apologies for the no show and explain what happened. So I'm giving them 4. Still have to do my backyard. The gentleman was very polite and apologetic. Going to use them when we start our backyard. One star because Stacy keeps harassing us. We hired a contractor to poor a slab and apparently they didn't pay their bill will Hanford. Stacy is calling and threatening us with a Lean. That should be dealt with whoever purchased the material, not the customer who paid their contractor.
