Floyd River Materials

I have not had anything delivered, but I have gone a few times to pick up rocks, specifically smaller river rocks. Service was excellent, and they were very patient. I had no complaints and will definitely go again if I have to pick up some landscaping materials.

When Floyd River dropped off the rock, we gave them permission to use our driveway. The delivery driver missed our driveway and ended up in our yard. The oil from the truck left stains on my driveway and killed our grass. Additionally, when the driver pulled forward back onto the driveway, it cracked our concrete leaving over $2200 in damages to our driveway. I talked with the manager and he said they have went to court in the past with other customers and they won over similar situations. He said there was nothing he could do and took no fault for the driver because we gave them permission to use our "driveway".

If I could give this a zero star rating I would! My husband left specific instructions to contact him when the driver was on his way to the house so he could meet him there and tell him where to put the sand. The driver came without calling my husband and my teenage daughter told him to put the sand on the obvious beach area. However, he put it on the opposite side of the pond in a completely wrong area with no resemblance to a beach. We contacted the office and told them about the mistake and she states that my daughter lied and she told the driver to put it on the opposite side of the pond nowhere near the beach. Mind you, the sand is wash sand that costs more than fill sand, and he put it on wet mud and grass. He had to drive through 3 to 4 foot tall grass to get to this area and almost knocked down a new sapling in the process. I called the front desk person and all she could say is I’m sorry but you can move it it’s not that hard! I explained to her that now I have to pay for somebody to move the sand because I am busy and she did not offer anything except for saying that I could move it myself! She would not give any amount a refund or do anything to make this right because she stated that she is not a landscape company. I explained to her that I would send her a picture to show her the mistake she continue to say that he put the sand where my daughter told him to. I talked to my daughter to clarify what she said. There was no reason for her to even mention this corner of the pond because it is nowhere near the 300 sqft beach on the front of the pond. I would not go to this company again because they don’t care about their customers! This is a small town and customer service is super important and they obviously don’t care! I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Very happy with our new driveway rock. They were great calling and letting me know when it was being delivered. Driver did a good job spreading it out.

They have good choice of material and good prices. However if you are getting a small amount delivered pick it up yourself because they will charge you full price for delivery no matter the amount. And they wont work with you at all. They do load pickups. Also if you want garden dirt this is not the place. Their black dirt is FULL of rocks and trash. Every shovel full had atleast a few 1/2"-1" rocks. Found cloth, rubber, electrical wire, tape, and plastic.
