Dirt Exchange

I want to thank Dirt Exchange for a great delivery of wonderful chips. Alex was my delivery person and his communication about timing was perfect and his ability in making a precise pile on the piece of tarp that I had laid out was truly amazing. I’ve never had such a precise delivery! He was also friendly. And the chips are great!

The young woman at the front counter was very helpful. She advised me on soils for my planters, both types and quantity. She arranged the delivery at a time that was convenient. The delivery person called to tell me he was on his way, arrived on time, dumped the soils where I wanted them, was aware of others using our street and was polite to them, etc.

Dirt Exchange had the compost I wanted and was able deliver it quickly. I live in their closest delivery zone, so the delivery charges were reasonable. The driver called before coming. Perfect!

We ordered some compost and gravel online. It was easy and delivery was the next business day. We asked them to drop the compost and gravel on tarps and they did a fantastic job, keeping the area around the drop off clean.

This place sold me a truckload of “organic compost” the was loaded with plastic shards. I didn’t notice it at first until after it rained, when all the plastic “floated” to the top, or was washed clean by the rain, then it became obvious. I hadn’t unloaded my truck yet so I took it back to dirt exchange, but they would not give me a refund. Extremely disappointing. Now I’m stuck with a truckload of crappy compost, but I don’t want to put into my garden because it’s loaded with plastic, and they won’t take it back.
