Oeder & Sons Sand & Gravel

I messed up somehow and gave a bad review here a while back and just came across it. Not sure how, or if it did it in my pocket but this place has always been great to me. I'll continue to use them for dumping and gravel.

This is a very clean and organized business. There is never a wait whether you are picking up material or dumping material . very nice people to work with

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. Gave a quoted time of arrival between 12-2pm and didn’t show up until 3:30. (They close at 4pm). Was told over the phone that they could tailgate it out when the service was requested. We are extending our driveway. It was clearly explained what we were trying to do. I have ordered gravel through them many times before for a client with zero issues. I was unable to be there at the time of delivery but my wife was home. The older gentleman that came out was told to tailgate out at the direction of my wife. He acted like he had never heard of the term before, but then he followed up by asking how far we want it to extend to. He dumped it about 15 feet in length and just left, and about 15 inches deep. It’s a mound of gravel. Unfortunately we now have to rent equipment for $150 to remedy the issue. My wife feels taken advantage of. It should have been clear to the driver what was asked of him. When we called to explain our dissatisfaction we were told the drivers tailgate as a courtesy and that they don’t have to do it, which was not explained when we called for the service initially. The receptionist just told us there’s nothing that can be done but that they would call back. Overall, we were charged $350 for the gravel and now have to rent equipment for $155 to extend the driveway ourselves. As a contractor, I would not feel comfortable recommending this company to anyone else.

Great on and out and inexpensive. Great people, they work hard.

does not accept credit cards. and of course they don't tell this to new contractors, regardless of how easy it is to get proccessors these days. useless for finding materials close unless you prefer to pay out of pocket and eat the cost of your employer.
