Had them come out to open my pool on April 18 and the guy said my pump was bad and I had to buy a new so I did and on the 19th they came out to put the new pump in and they said there was nothing wrong with my old pump it was working as it should then they were suppose to open my pool that day but didn't said they would be back in a couple of days to open it and never came back everytime I called them they would give me the run around so today I finally had enough and went into the store to find out when they would be back out to open my pool to which they said maybe in June I had enough and told them to refund my money and I would have someone else come do it. I would not recommend these people for anything.
Every time I have been in the store the people have been friendly and willing to help. Here is my issue. Last year lipps recommended a contractor to me to repair the concrete around my ungrounded pool. The contractor stole my 6500 dollar deposit and never came back. I understand that was not lipps but maybe they should do their research before recommending people. I later found out that the contractor they recommended to me has over 15 lawsuits against him, including class action lawsuits, so thank you lipps for that. This year I gave them another chance. I spent over 300 in chemicals so far this year for the pool and it still looks like a pond I have followed their instructions to a t. Maybe the 16 year old kid working the counter doesn't know what he is talking about. Maybe it's my fault for giving them another chance. For me personally I'm done with lipps.
Purchasing a pool is a huge investment and Lipps really understands that. Our situation was a little unique where we actually moved to the area from out of state but knew we were going to install a pool in our new home. We reached out to several pool companies around the area and from the start the interactions with the Lipps team was far superior to any of the competition. Communication was thew most important thing to me and Damon did not disappoint. I was given the direct contact information for the owner of the company (Damon) and I don’t think that is the norm. I didn’t have to communication with multiple people before getting the answers I needed, I was communicating directly with the source. The design part was the most fun and during this process no one tried to upsell me anything that I didn’t want or need. It was a two-way conversation where he listened to what we were looking for and was able to put it all on paper. There was a bit of a delayed start due to weather which was out of their control but even during that time, I know I could count on a text message update every Sunday letting us know what the plan was moving forward. Once the project actually got started it was smooth sailing. Lipps has developed an amazing working relationship with their local vendors/contractors, and they all know exactly what was expected of them. This is huge from a project management perspective. Special shout out to Quality Concrete Solutions who poured our concrete around our pool. They were hands down the most professional people we have ever worked with. This too was an open communication of exactly what we wanted and how they could make it happen for us. They listened to what we wanted and guided us to the best possible outcome both aesthetically and financially. 10/10 would recommend for any concrete needs. I can’t rave enough about how smooth the entire process went and couldn’t be happier with our partnership with Lipps. It wasn’t as if we gave them their money and that was the end of it. They have outlined a detailed maintenance plan for our pool and really did ensure we got everything we needed. I would be surprised if there is a company out there that would beat Lipps prices, but I assure you, you will not get the same “family owned” service that we received from any other company around.
Going into week 6 of a three week 4 tops guaranteed pool install told delayed do to weather as I put up Xmas lights and mow my grass in a short sleeve shirt . Will add more if they ever finish
If I could give 0 stars I would. The OWNER pointed his finger yelling at me over a signed proposal that they quoted incorrectly for a safety cover. Quoting $700 more. I paid a 75% deposit too. They quoted the wrong pool size that they pulled from my customer file and tried to tell me they google earthed the measurements when I watched them look at my file to get the dimensions. DISHONEST! The mgr and owner would NOT return my call and forced me to talk to clerk (owners son). I stopped in person today to try and have resolution. I was willing to split the difference with them. They said refund or nothing and the owner blamed ME for THEIR mistake. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. They closed our pool annually, I purchased a liner from them (somehow they got those measurements correct - from the same file), purchased a pool pump, etc. They DO NOT CARE about loyalty and their customers. They just lost one over $350.
