I had the best experience with every single employee I came into contact with at Empire. I was building a rock wall and all employees were patient while I picked out my stones from a massive pile and went above and beyond with customer service. An awesome locally owned business!!!

these people DO NOT disclose the actual total amount before hand. They don’t take accountability on what they tell their customers. When I called to figure out why the price was different when I got it delivered vs on the phone, they couldn’t even tell me the correct address on my account, they didn’t even know the delivery fee they tried to charge me which was basically the same amount I was paying for the material. They basically had no idea about anything they were changing me or my address. When we went up there to pay the amount we agreed on(not the price they tried the change it to) the owner Im assuming was aggressive and got into our face and tried to record us bc we were debating the price. Point is, if you’re making a transaction with this people please RECORD YOUR PHONE CALLS.

Bought two scoops of firewood a couple weeks ago. It wasn't seasoned. I believe the logs that they split had been setting for some time, but you need to split the stuff to let it dry out properly. Got it home, could not start a fire with it......too wet. Started a fire with some of my dry wood that I had on hand, and then added their wood. The pieces had enough moisture content in them that you could hear them sizzle and see water steaming out of the end grain of the logs. When this happens all your heat goes up the chimney in the form of steam, so you don't get any heat energy out of it. Just because someone has a log splitter and a chainsaw doesn't mean they know firewood. If you buy from them, make sure you buy some of the stuff that's been sitting all summer

We only have a short bed truck and they were so careful and conscious of safety for the fireplace logs we bought. They were so reasonably priced we will continue to get our supply of wood there.
