Don’t train there drivers at all. Cutting off and almost creating car accidents be careful with these guys. More then sure just not enough drug tests.
There prices here on boulders are very reasonable. Three cents a pound for a 650 pounder ran a whopping $20. Very friendly and helpful staff on my visit (Julie was the weighmaster and loader). My only compliant is that when the boulder was loaded into my truck it rolled off the loader forks and tweaked my bed rail cap and left a pretty good dent in my wheel well. I'd recommend protecting your wheel wells with some 3/4" plywood before loading any boulders, I know I will in the future. Would have been five stars without this little issue.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!! I scheduled concrete over three weeks ago to be poured today at 10am. Ken who works there originally put me as a will call but I told him I didn’t want to be on will call. I wanted a firm delivery. I had scheduled 5 guys to help wheelbarrow mud and skreed. One of which had to drive from an hour away. I called again a week and a half before my pour to change yardage and again reminded Ken that we were not will call. I again called three days before my pour to double check if their was any chance of getting an earlier delivery. Ken told me that they do not finalize the schedule until the day before the pour. He told me he would call me the day before to finalize time. I reminded Ken AGAIN that we were not will call. Never heard from them the day before my pour. I called first thing Friday morning before my pour to see what was going on. Ken was very rude and said that it was not his job to call will call customers the day before and that they could not fit me into the schedule. I reminded Ken that we talked three days ago (again reminded him we were not will call) and that he said he was going to call the day before to form things up. He just said sorry and that his supervisor said they couldn’t do anything for us. Now I have to wait three more weeks to be able to pour my concrete with CalPortland. Don’t try to save a few bucks using Cadman.
Almost run off of I5 southbound by a Cadman concrete truck southbound at woodland on Saturday June 1st at 2:12pm. Wee Willy winky driving the second truck of two was afraid that he wouldn't be able to find his way home if I filled the 300 foot gap between him and the truck in front of him. He closed the gap in a big hurry and honked his horn at me while forcing me off onto the shoulder. I wish State patrol would have been there to put an end to his career! Fool could barely see over the dash and had plenty of room to move over a lane. Apparently with the busy economy the large corporations are stuck taking the losers that shouldn't have a commercial license due to their lack of brains. Very unimpressed! I hope management is competent enough to review log books to determine who needs fired.
I went here for a scale weigh-in for a truck that I purchased. They are one of four certified DOL scales in the county. It cost just $7.50 and they were polite and quick! The DOL website still lists Rinker as the scale operator at this site, but it is in fact now Cadman.
