Dirt quality was pretty good, but administration and customer experience was not. Ordered online for delivery on a Saturday. Other than an email confirmation didnt see any contact otherwise. Saturday comes around and still no contact. So I called 25 minutes before their close time and sat on hold to never getting someone. Their automated hold message says to text your number to their number and theyll call back so I did that. No one called me Saturday. Then no one called Monday morning. I had to call again Monday and sit on hold for 20 minutes. After explaining the problem, there was no sorry or what can we do to make it right it was just "we will send it Thursday, youll get a new email confirmation" and that was it

I purchased over 4 yards of the designer red, and it's not red. Redish brown, this is totally different from what I purchased back in the spring. There was so much trash in the mulch, blue plastic strips, large chucks of wood, rocks, gray gravel, brown rocks. It was a mess, the quality of the product has gone down to half a star and that's pushing it. The standard for quality product is gone.

My husband and his friend had the worst imaginable experience with this company today. They arrived and purchased one cubic yard of gravel and then went to the pickup area. Once they were over there they told the employee what they were picking up and he went to get it. My husband trusted this employee and remained in the vehicle while he loaded it- which was a huge mistake because it turns out this employee did not know what he was doing at all. The next thing my husband and his buddy know, the whole truck is rocked violently and the back windshield cracked, then broke completely. They looked and the employee had dropped the gravel in the bed of the truck from a very high height and then promptly drove away without a word- even though it was evident what had happened. Upon going in the office my husband was told they’re not liable for any damages and basically we’re screwed. I can’t believe a business doesn’t hold their employees accountable in the slightest and obviously does not train them how to properly load these products, and now my husband and I will have to pay for a new read windshield. Never ever going back to this place again.

Visited the Hasty Lane, Midlothian, location. Wanted the Master Blend Bed Mix. The loader said they didn't have any mixed but that he could give me half a load of the organic growing media and the other half screened topsoil. I took it and mixed it at home when I unloaded it. Nothing grows in it. Seeds germinate and then fail. Leaves turn yellow. The plants have not increased in size since they were transplanted well over a month ago. Plants from the same flat transplanted elsewhere are thriving. Shortly after I bought the first load (before I knew better) I called Yard Works to see if they had any of the Master Blend Bed Mix at the Hasty Lane site. I was told there was one scoop left. It was absolutely horrible. Not only was the load smaller but it was full of gravel, red clay, and bits of broken glass and trash. The loader scraped up a generous amount of the parking lot for us to fatten up the load. It took me hours picking the gravel out of it. BIG pieces of gravel. BIG chunks of compressed red clay. I filled two five gallon buckets with the gravel before I gave up and dumped the rest of the load (about 1/3). Its useless. And, the plants that I transplanted into it are dying also. Way too expensive for plain dirt.

If all depends on which location you go to and which products your getting. If you order hardwood you usually get much more than ordered, which means your stuck with too much mulch and it’s dirty, has rocks leaves and other debris; however if you get a product like the red or black mulch it’s usually short; sometimes they get close with their “yard” on brown, but even that’s rare. The guys in the office are usually friendly though so I give them that.
