Pioneer Landscape Centers

We bought dirt for our raised bed and have found broken glass in every bed. Buy your dirt elsewhere this is dangerous.

Ordered ~$500 of 1.5” rock plus $150 delivery fee. Rock was delivered where vet half of the pile was 3” rock and mostly dirt and sand. We paid for scoops of dirt. Pioneer refused to do anything even though pictures were provided. They got their money and didn’t care. Won’t do business with Pioneer any more.

Michael Robert's in quality control, picked up several different type of materials, once getting back to our project we dumped the rock still which we could not tell it was mixed with dirt as we have several other piles of product we bought from them we had to get to, once getting to the gravel a few days later and started moving it around we noticed it was mixed with dirt. I contacted quality control Michael Robert's who is the most rude and unprofessional guy I've ever dealt with, we had already returned our dump trailer so we could not return the product. On the phone he was very confrontational. After 3 weeks he has just contacted us today and only offered us to refund 1/2 loads. When trying to explain in detail the problem he just raises his voice and says I'm not going back and forth with you. When you are buying rock get a shovel and go through the product, you will not be able to tell there is dirt mixed with it, we were using it for a French drain so it delayed our project and costed us 3x what the product cost. Update**** I spoke with the supervisor Aaron of Michael and she was amazing! Super professional and made it right with us...

Washington Cedar was always the premium dark brown shredded cedar “gorilla hair” at Pioneer (it’s now ~$100./yard). In the last few years they either changed suppliers or started mixing it with western cedar and so now the color is lighter, its more chippy - meaning it does not mat as nice, but it still costs as much as a premium northern cedar mulch.

Reasonably priced product (10 ton river rock), great service and communication. Joe Roth was our delivery person, and he kept us in the loop on delivery day. We will be ordering more rock soon.
