Clovis Stone Masonry & Landscape Supply

Just bought 2 yards of walk on bark. Super light load. I’ve been doing this for years and know exactly what 2 yards looks like. They gave me 1.6 max and when asked about it they said that’s it. Buyer beware, these guys are scammers. My trailer is 1.83 cubic yards and the pile came 2” below the fill line. That’s why I know it was 1.6 yards. Good try.

Clovis Stone Masonry and Landscape Supply I purchased 2 1/2 tons of bear creek rock and had it delivered on May 30. The first 1/2 foot down wasn't bad but after that there was almost as much dirt as there was rock. I tried washing it out but there is just too much imbedded in with the rock. I am using the rock in my flower beads and so there just can't be that much dirt. If I would have known that there was going to be that much dirt I would not have purchased it. I understand that the rock isn't going to be completely clean but the amount of dirt in the rock was ridiculous. Also the person who delivered it drove into my flower bead over plants and solar lights and left before I could talk to him. I ordered and paid for rock not dirt. I called them and emailed them. Person on the phone said there was nothing he could do and to email them and include pictures which I did. Haven't heard anything from them. Very disappointed in the quality of the product And the service.

Think twice before buying your landscape needs, stones and supply from Clovis stone. Not worth the rude customer service when an issue is brought to their attention and doesn't take responsibility for the error on the business side. I read the reviews and was hesitant but decided to give it a chance. We Ordered close to $1,000 of stones to only have the wrong colored stones given. We chose a reddish brown color to match our landscape design, we were given a light gray with a very few specs on the stone. I respectively brought a stone back to Clovis stone to show them the difference in color. They stated if there is a change in color within the batch that they are not responsible for the change. Female manager was rude in front of other customers while I tried to explain what we chose is clearly not the same color. See below the difference in color from the stone we picked and the stones we received. In the end, the manager stated it isn't their fault. I highly support locally owned and small business, but this one is a lesson learn and will not do business with Clovis stone for our future landscaping need. Be aware they also charge for a pallet fee in which you have to return the pallet and only refunded a portion amount vs the full amount. $70 for the pallet fee for our two pallets of wall blocks. Re stocking fee also applies.

I ordered 1 ton of 3/4 inch Sonoma Sunrise rock to be delivered the next day. Following morning I was looking at my calculations and decided I needed another 1/4 ton. Called them and they advised I would need to come in to pay first. Drove 12.5 miles to their location. The rock is $130 per ton so I figured the additional cost should be 25% of the $130. I was charged $72 and advised the price is higher for amounts under 1 ton. That may be true but this was just adding 1/4 ton on top of the 1 ton I had ordered the day before (yet to be loaded and delivered). Did not seem correct. Asked the counter person what would the cost have been had I just ordered 1 1/4 ton of rock the day before? He said, the same price as I was being charged. I did call in the next day and verified the counter person was correct. The additional 1/4 ton adds double what the price per ton is. Corrected the review to 3 stars from one star. Still seems like a weird pricing strategy. Other than that, having to drive all the way to their location to pay instead of paying by phone or over the internet seems a bit antiquated.

This is definitely the place to go if you are adding brick to your project. Mark was particularly helpful. And the reason he was so helpful was because he was very knowledgeable and attentive. I can say the same thing with the office personnel. They knew their stuff and quickly provided the information and details we needed. They also have a amazing variety of choices here.
