This is another example of the really big companies getting away with a lot on construction sites and road work. They don’t do a proper job of removing loose rocks after chip sealing the roads and I guess it’s hurry up to the next job. I got a cracked windshield on Chinden right after they chip sealed the road and in some places did not properly cover the roadway.
You have asked for a meeting on March 17 about a conditional use permit. Seems that has already been granted, moved an office in, moved the earth and already moved equipment into the bottom of the pit. So much for being honest to the people who live in this area. You have been very disrespectful to all who live in this area. How do expect anyone to trust what your company represents!! I won't.
They did construction (chip sealing) on Chinden Blvd. After the construction was supposedly completed (road fully painted and no construction signs or equipment anywhere to be seen) there were still rocks everywhere. They didn't bother to sweep the roadway in 50 and 55mph zones. Rocks were being thrown everywhere. To account for this I was way behind the car in front of me. However, a car going in the opposite direction threw up a rock and broke my windshield. I attempted to file a claim with the state transportation department but they referred me to Knife River (but told me to not expect much because they know Knife River doesn't respond to people's claims of damage). My wife still called to file a claim and they completely ignored us. Tax payers pay the construction company to do the work and are then expected to pay (in my case nearly $1800) for damage to their vehicle as a result of a job not being completed correctly. The state needs to stop awarding them contracts as long as they do this.
Your drivers on gowen road have been super dangerous drivers. One of your semi trucks pulled into full traffic today, almost causing a huge wreck.
The parking lot work they have been doing or lack their of at the V.A. hospital inpatient employee in Boise has affected my fiancé's ability to find parking for her job on many occasions making her late or not even be able to go into work due to an lack of sufficient parking for employees forcing them to use public parking which fills up fast before she even gets to work. She leaves reliably with enough to spend between 30 mins to an Hour parked at work due to her anxiety regarding the stress of being on time. This company has on many occasions shown that it is not doing its job in a timely manner and doesn't mind screwing other people over in the process. The work being done to the parking lot has been going on months now and this is getting out of hand and I am considering litigation for compensation of her lose of wages due to this situation.
