Great local supplier, but I'm sure they supply all San Diego county. Prices are competitive, sometimes higher, but better service and higher quality products.

Sunrise is basically a "Mom & Pop" operation that has been a local go-to business for many years. While it may cost a few cents more than some bigger yards, they earn it with their fast and professional service. You won't find appliances, plumbing, lighting or a paint isle but you will find plenty of concrete, stucco, gravel and sand products to meet your needs.

Absolutely love their selection. The family is amazing and makes you feel so welcomed when you walk in. Very knowledgeable and great to work with. We Love Sunrise!!!

GREAT selection of materials over 20 different types of just gravel Customer service was very very good. Disabled parking was right by the front door. Wheel chair access was good. Access to the store can easily be missed and the prices were a bit high (the two reasons it didn't get 5 stars).

I’ve debated for months about posting a review but I decided I need to in order to save others the trouble that I’ve gone through. Firstly this is a nice family owned business that really do care about there customers, so they saved a few stars for that. But this review is about any gardening soil/ compost - DO NOT BUY from here! They advertised as organic, mushroom composted blend of ready to use bed soil and what I got dumped in my yard was fill dirt. Tan, Sandy, hard, fill dirt. No nutrients, nothing added, looks like what you would get if you dug a hole for a pool and at $10 more a yard then any other place. So I called and told them and they were very very kind and offered a free truck bed of “compost” which I did take them up on but that even was barely garden quality. Again these are nice folks who may have good deals on other materials but DO NOT make the mistake of buying garden soil from here, or atleast go in person and look at it. They don’t test, they honestly didn’t even know there was supposed to be nutrients in soil. After hundreds and hundreds of dollars of amendments, this soil is so bad and sandy (and also hard, I suspect there is some construction material in it honestly) that it’s cheaper for me to spend days shoveling it out and replacing it then it would be for me to continue to amend it. It’s not usable. Again, nice guys, family owned but this review is to save any other gardeners the money and headache.
