Pop's Nursery (Plants, Palms, Decorative Stones, Sand, Soil, Gravel)

I love Pops Nursery, but the bags of top soil are now like the other box stores...full of mulch. I had a previously purchased bag (right side of pic) which is 100% top soil. The left side, if you zoom in, is full of mulch. What happened to the top soil?

I needed a new lawn installed and landscaping after lightning struck our house. After much research, meetings at my house and calls, I decided the best nursery to take on this job was Pops Nursery. We went there in person to pick out plants and met the absolute nicest people there. The most memorable was Brandy. She gave us a private tour and explained each variety of plant to us. We’ve gone back various times to pick up more plants and their variety of beautiful flowers, bushes, trees made it hard to choose. Their prices can’t be beat. Their attention to detail and customer satisfaction is second to none. It is apparent their main goal is customer satisfaction. On the day of the job they sent out a very friendly hard working crew who always showed up on time and cleaned up afterwards.They recommended a sprinkler company who came out and did an excellent job installing a new sprinkler system in our yard after the new lawn was laid. We had a few minor issues with some of the sod due to flooding rains and Jose the owner and “Boss” came back personally to treat and replace those pieces for us. I can’t say enough about this business. It’s been around for decades. I remember my dad going there when I was a kid. They carry on the same ethics and cater to their customers the way they did back then. Thank you to Brandy, Jose (The Boss) Melissa, Linda, Xiomara and Cristina! You’re doing a great job and it shows! I will never go to another nursery. Loyal forever to Pops!

After having our circular drive installed, we wanted grass, but not everywhere. We left an area by the house for plants. We had an idea of what we wanted, a border (like EPCOT), and lots of color. Plus, I wanted my ponytail palm to finally have a home. Jose, owner, came out and we worked out a plan for type (we had things in mind) and quantity of plants. We had some trouble finding one plant, so we went over to see what we could do. We talked to David and ended up switching out some plant types that would work better. Today is install day and Jose (landscaper) and crew came out first this as promised! They did an AMAZING job, made some great recommendations and went to work. It looks FABULOUS!!!! We LOVE it!! We always go to Pop's!! They ROCK!!!

Awesome variety of palms, and all kinds of hoyas, bromeliads, orchids, ferns and other tropical plants. Great selection of gravels and sod. Very knowledgeable staff to help out too!

I called Lowe's and home depot and 3 other suppliers and pop's had the lowest cost. And Pop's can deliver today ...everyone else wanted a week. Good quality sod and it came the same day. I wanted one hundred sixty square feet.. The guy told me that if I got 180 square feet. I would save. and I paid sixty cents per square foot LESS So I got too much sod and paid less These guys are wonderful.
