Good Neighbor? This year Premier Aggregates started a new project off Sales Yard Road just to the north of our small development on Ranch Ln. The static water level in my well has dropped eight to ten feet. Last summer I could run two hydrants to water the yard and garden. This summer I can only run one hydrant at about 1/4 to 1/3 open. Enough to water an eight to ten foot diameter section at a time. Any demand beyond that draws the static water level below the pump inlet. I have spoken with someone at Premier Aggregates about this issue and they refuse to accept responsibility at the same time they say "we try to be a good neighbor." The further down they pump and dig in the south pond the worse the problem has become. I have purchased road mix and top soil from them in the past, quality product and fast service so no complaints there. I just wish they would take responsibility for the problem they have caused. Update: August 30, 2024 They are still digging and still pumping a ton of water out of the hole. I can no longer irrigate anything using our domestic well. Yesterday our well pump was sucking air just trying to do a load of laundry. We are living a nightmare, this is way beyond an "inconvenience." Now we are forced to spend a bunch of time and money trying to modify our field flood irrigation system in order to keep our fruit trees, garden area and lawn watered. A word of advice. If you ever see a public notice that someone has applied for a permit to do a project like this in your neighborhood I suggest you show up at the county hearing. It will definitely affect your well's static water level, not to mention the noise and dust 12 hours a day. Update February 2025 Our nightmare continues. More digging and pumping. Watching the static water level in our domestic well dropping again. We are at the point that we will have to drill a new well. We had a dream of moving to a small farm to enjoy a quiet, stress free retirement, now this. The noise from the pumps running 24/7. The noise from the front end loaders and conveyors 10 or more hours daily. The dust and dirt. The harm done to our well and the unexpected financial burden of that. Shame on the County and/or State officials that approved this gravel/sand pit in our backyard and shame on Premier Aggregates for all the grief you have caused.
I ordered & paid for 18 yards of pea gravel to be delivered. When it came and they dumped it, it was a small crushed rock. The cost is just over $10 per yard difference. I went to the office and pointed this out. They agreed with me that it was a mistake and said they would refund the difference. After 3weeks they still had not refunded the amount so I contacted them again. And crickets. Buyer beware - check your load before they dump it as they are a dishonest business.
Trucker drivers are amazing!! Owners are about the bottom dollar and drivers don't mean anything to them, if they speak up about thing the owners will do everything to get you to quit. You only can work 40hrs, no over-time at all, company wants 30mins max on per/post trips and fueling so hour the rest needs to bill able time to the customers 🙄
Gone are the days of buying landscaping soil in bags! This place has great prices per cubic yard! Nice little office with samples of their product for you to touch and feel so you know exactly what you're getting. Nice gal working in the office... Good old fashioned customer service with a smile. This is an honest review. I just moved to Emmett three months ago and prior to today I didn't even know about this business. I'll be back!
They did a poor job of communicating how massive their trucks are (not your typical dump truck with pup, closer to an 18 wheeler with a pup) and when they showed up with our first residential delivery it was not possible to get the truck into our driveway. This could have been chalked up to a break down in communication but we were then expected to pay the entire $150 delivery fee despite the fact that we had a large order and would have had almost $500 in additional delivery fees on top of the purchase price for the rock and sand we ordered. They were unwilling to split the delivery fee with us or apply it to our sizable order that we would have been paying them for. We took our business elsewhere and I do not recommend doing business with this company.
