Scotty's Contracting & Stone

Scotty's is doing work on 68/80 and has placed a large electronic sign right at the end of my driveway blocking my view of traffic that is coming up over a hill. It was already a dangerous place to pull out of and now they have made it downright deadly. I've contacted them via their web site, after almost being hit by a car while I was pulling out, and I've gotten zero response. Below is a photo of my view from my driveway now. They have zero regard for public safety! If I am involved in an accident due to this I'm sure a lawyer will have a field day with it.

I can’t speak on their work but I can speak on the kindness towards my 3 year old son today. My son is all about big trucks and today one of the guys noticed my son was watching him load up the big dump trucks and my son got so excited and wanted to bring his dump truck out to watch. He waited so patiently for the guys to notice him. When their shift was done for the day they called us over and filled up his little toy truck and let him look at the equipment. Thank you so much for the kindness you showed him today.

I had 26 tons of gravel delivered. I paid by credit card over the phone for the total I was given, which was $580.05. As I reviewed my banking statement a week or so later, I noticed a different amount that had been charged, $597.45. They did not inform me of a 3% charge for credit card use, otherwise I would have written a check. I called to ask about the difference that I was charged and was told they add the 3% to all credit card orders, but they just failed to relay that information. Not good customer service in that communication. It's the principal of the matter and they should have offered to credit the difference but they did not.

My mom got an estimate from Scottys to repair her drive way! It is a short driveway and she was told it would be a 2 month wait time and she agreed at the 2 month mark they came and dug up the old blacktop that was three weeks ago and she isn’t able to go anywhere she is 84 and I feel if she was 54 it would be done by now! She has made calls and I have as well but they don’t care! Their word means absolutely nothing! And trust me I am going to complain to the Better business bureau! These people need to be help accountable!!’

Does not communicate at all. Can never reach Derek. Derek never returns calls. Showed up at my house a year after the estimate and started grading and shaping the driveway while I was at work. Never called ahead of time. I tried to reach them for over 6 months to see when they were going to start and never got a answer. I am not convinced this company has the right policys or people in the correct positions to take care and communicate to the customers. I do understand that weather and workload takes on a huge impact of this type of work but simple communication would go a long way. I would not recomend this company.
